Taco Salad


2 lb. hamburger
3-4 tomatoes, diced
1 head lettuce
1-2 C. shredded cheddar cheese
1 can black olives, diced (optional)
1 can pinto beans (optional)
1 can kidney beans
1 bag taco chips


Cook hamburger – add own salt, pepper, garlic, and onion. Drain meat and put in pan in refrigerator to chill. After meat is chilled, layer on top of meat: tomatoes, cheese, olives, beans, and crushed taco chips. When ready to serve add lettuce and taco sauce. Mix everything. Top with some crushed chips.

Taco Sauce – make first, then refrigerate

1 C. mayonnaise
1/4-1/2 C. ketchup
1 pkg. taco seasoning mix.

Mix sauce ingredients together.
