Grilled Hawaiian Tuna

  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 2 oranges, juiced
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 4 five-ounce albacore tuna steaks (about 1-inch thick)


  1. In a medium bowl, combine the fruit juices, green onions, and soy sauce and stir just to combine.  Set the tuna steaks in a deep glass dish and pour the soy-citrus marinade on top.  Cover and refrigerate for about 10 minutes.
  2. Remove the steaks from the marinade (but save the marinade) and grill the tuna steaks to the desired doneness, about 4 minutes per side for medium-rare.  Pour the remaining marinade into a saucepan and reduce by half, about 10 minutes.  Strain.  Slice the tuna and drizzle the sauce on top.  Serve immediately.
